Hello and Welcome!
I’m Ryan Eng, a Los Angeles–based Director of Photography and Camera Operator whose work is rooted in the belief that images have the power to connect, heal, challenge, and inspire. My creative path began as a kid roaming the halls of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I first felt the transformative pull of visual storytelling. That early spark, paired with over two decades behind the camera, continues to shape how I see and shoot: with emotional depth, clarity, and an instinct for capturing the moments that resonate beyond the frame.
Across commercial, narrative, and documentary projects, I balance artistic vision with technical precision, crafting images that honor the story at hand. I’m drawn to the intimate, the in-between, and the overlooked—fragments of truth that, when seen, create deeper understanding of identity, environment, and community.
Every project is an opportunity to collaborate, to listen, and to translate a shared vision into something that lingers—not just for its beauty, but for its meaning. Together, we can create work that engages, inspires, and stands the test of time.
Cheers,
Ryan
